TUPPER LAKE MAN CHARGED WITH RAPE
A Tupper Lake man is facing allegations of rape surrounding an incident that occurred last fall.
Tupper Lake Village Police arrested 19 year-old Cory Harrison on an arrest warrant at 6:17 p.m. Monday.
He's been charged with two felonies first-degree rape and first-degree sexual abuse. Harrison also faces a misdemeanor count of second-degree rape.
Tupper Lake Police Chief Ron Cole said today that the charges stem from Harrison's involvement with a 14 year-old girl last September. There was forcible sexual intercourse involved Cole said.
Cole said the victim only recently came forward to report the alleged incident to police. He also said Harrison has admitted to some of the accusations against him during the investigation.
The police chief declined to name the nature of the relationship between the victim and the defendant.
Harrison will be answering the charges in Franklin County Court in Malone. In the meantime, he's been remanded to the Franklin County Jail.
