In September I learned I was a victim of credit card fraud by an "ex-friend" of mine. Total charges were $6,100.61 and Cottman Transmissions in Dulth GA accounted for $1,983.13 of charges. As verified by Bank of America - all 25 charges were entered manually b/c the card was never out of my possession.

I was baffled b/c I know that I cannot pay for my auto service over the phone with Honda and like I stated she never had the card so how allowed her to do such a transaction. I have never in my life encountered such horrible customer service. I was spoken to in a belligerant manner, yelled at and spoken over.

I spoke with a Linda Helm and 2 other Cottman employees that told me if was my fault that I did not watch my belongings and they just want monies owed to them for services rendered. Cottman employees claim they are the victim. Said i need to report this to the bank and they will handle it.All of my money was refunded within 48 hours.

however, 4 months later Cottman decides to dispute the reversal of charges saying that since I knew the victim that is my problem. Per the paperwork submitted to me via BOA, from Linda Helm at Cottman, the criminal called in authorized her visa, (which of course wasn't hers nor were any charges authorized) advising them she couldnt not make it in time to pick up her vehicle but she would like to pay over the phone and for them to leave her car in the after hours spot with teh keys inside. I have never in my life heard of these practices. Honda would never allow me to pay and then they leave my car unattended after the dealership is closed.

As far as I am concerned this was an inside job. The criminal used 3 different cards to pay for one transaction. Who knows who the other 2 cards belonged too. Cottman can careless. As they told me they just want their money.

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
