My car broke down and I had it towed to Cottman Transmission.

He gave me an estimate of $1900.00 to fix it. I told him I didn't have the money to get it fixed right then, that I had just started a job and was new to the area. I told him I thought I would either find a buyer "as is" or tow the car home until I could get it fixed.

Wayne, of Cottman Transmission, kept telling me to let him fix it, that they would work with me on the payments, that he had a lot of people who were in my situation and that he lets them make payments on their cars. I still didn't commit to fixing it, then he called and told me he had fixed the car. I let him charge $200 of the bill to my ATM card on Saturday, the day after he told me it was repaired.

Just a few days later, he called me and talked really mean, asking when I was coming to get the car, that he had to have payment right away, etc. This after telling me repeatedly that I could make payments on the repairs. Then he offered to buy my car for $200.00. I told him no, I owed more than that. A few days later he called and asked how much was owed against the car, and said he would pay it off.

He had sent me so many text messages, and phone calls telling me I needed to pick up the car that I was so stressed out, I was crying and hysterical so I let him pay off my car and keep it.

Then, the next day I had my daughter take me up to get my belongings out of the car, and low and behold, he had a whole car lot full of cars for sale, and mine was being waxed and cleaned up to put up for sale! I think that is how he gets the cars he sells up there.

He flat out lied to me about being able to make payments on the repairs, did not even give me one week after the car was repaired before he started harrassing me about payment. I think this is a scam he runs all the time to get cars to sell.

What a jerk!
