Cottman Transmission rip-off! Won't honor warranty! They rebuilt my transmission and I got 338 miles before it went out. They so-called fixed it again and it went out again 6741 miles later. Newportrichey Florida
had transmission rebuilt on nov 28,2003 by cottman transmission at 7400 us 19 newportrichey florida. when i got the truck back a week later, heading home to north carolina the transmission went out (338) miles later, had it towed to cottman in matthews north carolina.
After 3 weeks of phone tag between the two went by, cottman in florida aproved cottman in matthews to fix it, they so called fix it but the transmission went out again after (6,741) miles. I had it towed to matthews again to get it fixed. the man in matthews told the man in florida that he got a hand full of dirt(oil soked)off the crossmember.
Well when i talked to man in florida it ended up being (8 pounds of dirt), while playing phone tag between the two again for 3 weeks to find out whats going on the man in florida void my warranty and wont have to trans pulled to see what is wrong with it.
