Complaint Review: Cottman Transmission

Cottman Transmission ripped my seat, ripped me off and my car still doesn't work right. Rip-off! Houston Texas

I took my 93' Honda Civic in at the beginning of September. I was told I needed a new clutch. I paid nearly $1000.00 for the parts and repair work. When I went to go pick the car up I noticed a rip in my drivers seat. My seats are in good condition and the rip wasn't there when I dropped the car off. I alerted the manager to the rip in the seat. He instructed me to get a written estimate from a trim shop to have it fixed and they would see about getting it fixed. I got the estimate it was 125.00.

Since September I have been back to Cottman 4 times because the clutch is not functioning correctly. The car drives worse now than it did before it had gave it to Cottman to fix. They have not repaired the clutch properly, nor have they cooperated about fixing the seat.

I am a third year law student and I am familiar with consumer law and the Texas Decptive Trade Practices Act. I intend to be put back in the position I was in when I drove into Cottman that fateful day. I will have my seat fixed and my clutch will work properly and all of it will be on their tab...
