Cottman replaced my transmissiom in a 2003 jeep liberty. My warranty was still good when it needed replaced. thats when they started to screw me around. When taking it in for repairs there were junk cars in the lot ( missing body parts and wheels) they were blaring rapp music from the work area. they kept it for a week trying to fix it as cheaply as they could but eventualy they had to replace it. Shortly after recieving my car back the transmission began to leak. They told me to bring it in . they said they replaced the gasket it took 25 minutes. two weeks later it leaked again this time i took it in and this time they needed it for 4 hours for the same repair. . I checked the bolts and they were stripped .but they put extra adheasive on them and we all know that works better then threads.

If that is what happened, then they should retap the holes, and install Heli-coil inserts in the stripped holes. Ask them if they will do this for you. Using sealant for stripped bolt holes(which is common in aluminum cases by the way) is not a proper repair.
