Cottmans Tranmission, Aamco RIPPED OFF badly. 02 esacalde , i was told it would take 5-6 days, and would cost about 1200 dollars to repair the trans. Finally done, came to over 1700 dollars!Crooks!Shreveport Louisiana
this place should be shut down. last summer i brought my 02 escalade to Cottmans transmission aka Aamco on Louisiana Ave in downtown Shreveport. I beleive it was Aaron who told me it would run about 1200 dollars to repair the tranmission that had lost 5th and reverse. he also claimed they would be done in 5-6 days.
Six days came and went with NO contact from cottmans, when i called to check on the progress, their excuse was that they had been 'robbed' (none of the late model cars in the garage had been touched) and this appearently had set them back. i even visited the shop to check on my vehicle and get some items out of it, and i as treated like a random pedestrian.
well another week past and it was Finally done, but instead of 1200 it was closer to 2000 dollars. i ofcourse was outraged and they explained that there is no way to predict an 'exact' price,even though they work on transmissions Everyday. i wouldnt have paid these CROOKS however i had to go out of state the very next day and had to get my vehicle back.
i DEFINATELY advise everyone to stay away from this corrupt a*s place and if that means driving a broken vechile DO SO.
