Country Pride Food Service Complete FRAUD... food only sold WITH A RIP OFF FREEZER [or other appliance] SALE!! I KNOW.....I sold it!!!! Eldersburg, Maryland
Country Pride Foods, like all other home food delivery services, are a COMPLETE rip - off. Country Pride DOESN'T EVEN HAVE AN OFFICE...THEY WORK OUT OF THE OWNER'S HOME BASEMENT. They don't make $$ on selling JUST FOOD...YOU HAVE TO SELL A FREEZER [one that wholesales for $800 for $2,800.00!] OR ANOTHER APPLIANCE TO MAKE ANY $$.
How do I know this? I used to work for them. They have 2 very nice, experienced , senior food sales consultants who know their trade. The problem: The company is not being run by the owner: Sam Alascia...he has his 300 lb. daughter, 'Jamie' making the decisions. She has major people skill problems.
Jamie has no management skills whatsoever & revels in berating producing employees...[I sold over $46K of their freezer rip-off programs in less in 5.5 weeks...and they STILL complained]. For example: I collected a portion of a deposit of $100 & converted it to a money order, but that wasn't GOOD ENOUGH! That was CASH to be siphoned off the books to become NON-TAXABLE, ergo...FRAUD, TAX EVASION.
I was repeatedly told that if I JUST SOLD FOOD ONLY.... I would never make in this business. If the poor prospects ALREADY HAVE A FREEZER, then the 'pitch' goes into selling ANOTHER appliance: like a $2400 knife set; cookware, or a combo of items totaling the cost they need to accumulate to make the profit they desire: A COMPLETE RIP-OFF!! BUYER BEWARE!! You don't need this pillage, rape & robbery. If you need more info U can reach me @: (((redacted)))
I would never have written this , but TUBBY Alascia had to convey negative rhetoric at me in another venue...so the old :" What goes around....COMES around...."....happy trails TUBBY!!!!

The author of this rip-off report was Peter Glenn Garrity (known alias: Glenn Ryan). In the best interest of our potential customers, Mr. Garrity is no longer acting as an Independent Contractor for Country Pride Food Service, for several reasons.
Against our better judgment, and pending results of our background check, we tried to be understanding when Mr. Garrity wept with his head in his hands to give him a chance, because weve all fallen on rough times at one point or another. We also tried to be understanding when Mr. Garrity asked for a hand out several times per week, because we know that alcoholism is a disease. And we tried to be understanding when he questioned whether or not his wages could be garnished while working as an Independent Contractor, because we all have personal issues that we have to deal with.
Our attempts to understand, however, came to a screeching halt when Mr. Garrity attempted to cheat one of our customers out of their hard earned money. Mr. Garrity failed to produce the afore mentioned money order. Instead, Mr. Garrity altered a customers check to increase the amount, and attempted to pocket the cash deposit. When we approached Mr. Garrity, he went to the ATM to cash his paycheck to be able to provide us with the missing cash deposit, saying he forgot the money order. This was one of many lies Mr. Garrity told during his 1+ month tenure here at Country Pride, and it was the final straw. He promised to provide the money order as proof, and instead, began interviewing for a new job. Mr. Garrity used Country Pride as a reference, where he lied about the length of time he was working as an Independent Contractor for us (by two (2) years!), and when the interviewer called to confirm that information, we simply told the truth. We assume this is the negative rhetoric to which he was referring. Not that it even needs to be said at this point, but EMPLOYERS BEWARE!
As for Mr. Garritys character, we will let his Rap Sheet speak for itself. Please feel free to search online in the Maryland Judiciary Case Search (http://casesearch.courts.state.md.us/inquiry/inquirySearch.jis) for Peter Glenn Garrity, born 10/22/1954.
Mr. Garritys EXTENSIVE list of previous criminal and civil cases against him, including, but not limited to, Contract Fraud, Check Fraud, Domestic Violence, Burglary, Theft, Destruction of Property, Tax Evasion, and Breach of Contract, made it very clear that he just wasnt cut out to be Country Pride material. We can also assure you that during Mr. Garritys 1+ month tenure, that he was not privy to years worth of proprietary information, including costs of goods sold, so his estimations are simply that; uneducated estimations.
Mr. Garrity was right about one thing; we do have several very experienced sales representatives who know their trade, and we are proud to have them representing Country Pride every day. We are also proud of our business model, which is to have all Independent Contractors work from their homes, and not unnecessarily come to an office every day. Its not only an effort to be more green, but also a way to help keep our operating costs down, in order to be able to keep our customers costs down. We dont know of any consumer who would oppose that!
