Countrycandlescottage, Alexis Breslaw, Countrycandlescottage.com, EBay Deceptive eBay store Rip-off Alexis Breslaw Countrycandlescottage.com Makes excuses for bad selling practices slow to ship & blames USPS Ripoff Pinecrest Florida
I purchased some needed supplies from an eBay store owned by Alexis H Breslaw dba Countrycandlescottage located in Miami (Pinecrest) Florida.
This store was selected by the fast shipping time advertised in her listing with combined shipping rates. I asked a question regarding the information that was omitted from the listing. Alexis Breslaw replied with a simple explanation that seemed all right at the time, this was before other members began to report problems with their orders.
My purchase included six different items from eBay auctions: 160028497314, 160030507723, 160030906334, 160030911952, 160050157684, and 160050190559. After three weeks, the package did finally arrive. All of the bottles weighed less than advertised in her listings.
Shipping products in smaller quantities is a current practice used to increase profits; it is also assumed that eBay customers will not pay to return ship merchandise.
Alexis Breslaw from countrycandlescottage issued negative feedback out of retaliation as a result of her own incompetence. I believe Alexis Breslaw owner of countrycandlescottage was kicked off eBay once before for the same bad trading behavior; because her user name has only been registered less than one year, and Alexis Breslaw was also selling on eBay in 2003.
Negative Feedback posted by Alexis Breslaw at eBay store countrycandlescottage:
-You need to buy insurance if you want it, common sense!!!
-Not slow service, just trying to chargeback so you can keep items for FREE!!!
-Another buyer looking for something for free has serious problems!!!
-Not late just following other feedback complete rude buyer has issues!!!
-Sold by weight not volume minus bottle CAN'T READ or WEIGH!!!!
-READ Sold by weight NOT volume plastic accident was actually more, cant weigh
These are just bad excuses from customer service to explain away issues from her own irresponsible trading practices.
Alexis Breslaw reported that she does not have a precision scale, my scale does not weigh in grams, only in pounds. Apparently, the LAWS of PHYSICS including STANDARD WEIGHTS and MEASURES are not relevant to eBay store countrycandlescottage.
In addition, no chargeback was ever filed with my credit card company; a PayPal dispute was opened after Alexis Breslaw (countrycandlescottage) refused to file an insurance claim with the United States Postal Service regarding -non delivery of goods purchased, insurance was also purchased and applied to the shipping label.
Unless I am blind, there is no mention of -products sold by weight; this is an assumed statement of countrycandlescottage (Alexis Breslaw) and is not in the eBay listing.
It is my opinion that countrycandlescottage does not employ people who have attended college to obtain formal education related to promoting a good business practice.
Stay-at-home moms who earn their money by deceptive business practices are unwelcome in the business community, and should not be in business as a merchant.
It is my position to never conduct another transaction with a deceptive eBay member like countrycandlescottage; I will advise you to stay away from Alexis Breslaw and purchase your goods elsewhere.
My business is reputable with old time values unlike the policy (twisted version of the Golden Rule) of some members on eBay who will Rip-Off everyone before getting Ripped-Off themselves.
*NOTE: This shipment was purchased on November 28 2006; the shipping label was printed on December 02 2006, and delivered on December 18 2006. Obviously, the package was never delivered into the care of the US Postal Service until after I complained that the merchandise never arrived (December 12, 2006) there was no response from countrycandlescottage.

OK, this is the most ridiculous petty thing I have ever read in my life. He is trying to get merchandise for FREE & since I have left him negative feedback he has wrote to rip off report about me & made a website dedicated to me. Yes, a website with fabricated information about me also including my personal information. He obviously doesn't know anything about laws, that is defamation of character & he is violating my rights. He is also in breach of contract trying to steal from me & keep items for FREE. OK, let me go through everything. First of all, the complaint about packaging, I take my time & package all items carefully. He obviously forgot to mention I put a plastic under the cap, and then tape around the cap, then I put items into the soft envelope to protect them, then into the box (yes, these do keep them from rolling around). He also forgot to mention I add free candle tarts. Now onto the ?shortages?, I don't short people. I am very generous & add extra. Ok, the peppermint essential oil I made a mistake with the plastic bottle, but if it was that important I would have sent another he paid 2.99. Said it was short 8grams 30 grams in the oz = ?supposed? shorted .79. Now lets move on to the Grapefruit seed extract $14.99 for the 4oz 113.3grams $14.99/113.3=.13per gram x supposedly only weighed 93.5 grams (3.3oz)=$12.37. So originally paid $14.99-$12.37=$2.62. Now lets move on to the 16 oz oils, which he claims were all ?shorted? too by 3.5g each, lol. 16oz Jojoba $12.99/453.5g=.028x450g=12.88 ?supposed? shortage .11. 16oz Avocado $5.99/453.5g=.013x450g=$5.94, ?supposed? shortage .05. 16oz glycerin $4.99/453.5g=. 011x450g=$4.95= ?supposed? shortage of .04 16oz Macadamia oil $6.99/453.5g=. 015x450g=$6.93= ?supposed? shortage of .06. Lets get a grand total of these shortages. .79 in the peppermint, 2.62 in the GSE, .11 yes CENTS for the Jojoba oil, .05 for the Avocado, .04 for the glycerin, & .06 for the Macadamia. NOT even $5 it totals $3.67. Come on here. Does anyone really think I'm going to rip someone off for $3.67? I asked him what he wanted to do & he never responded to me. Claims I never responded to him so he can keep the items & his money. SHAME! I'm not going to stoop to his level & post his personal info (its illegal). He also insults stay at home moms. He's doesn't know me, or what I do, nor should he insult anyone. He is a very angry person & needs to seek help. Claims he has old-fashioned values when he's trying to steal from me? Check his old feedback one a few years back he sent someone an empty CD case. That's real values? Looks like he's up to his old tricks again!!
