We received a retention packed when country wide was still operating. We signed the packed and also had it notorized by my bank. Assuming all is well we made 3 payments that was agreed upon on the retention packet.
Before making the payments it became Bank of America. I called Bank of America regarding where to send my payments for this retention. They had nothing on there computer end. They had no clue about my account. I was instructed by the Bank of America company to just follow the plan and send in my payments as stated in the retention. Well, I did so , I have send in 3 payments at once and never received a payment applied to my account at any sort. Instead I got a letter from BOA regarding my correspondence requesting hardship, they said it is denied. I called the number given in this letter and a representive made claims they have tried to reach us on numerous occassions regarding this matter. I was just totally blown away because it was not them making any kind of contact to us. It was I that called there office and was apprehensive about sending my payments because of my worst fear had come true. I usually follow my instincts and I had good faith that they knew what they were doing. Heated discussion raised on the phone between BOA and myself. Asia whom is the represenative from BOA instructed me to mail the following information regarding my request for the assistance. Why should I since it is already in action. They are still claiming they have no payments nor any retention modification from country wide. Now, I am so angry and want to know if any other similar story happen to them. I was very suprised on this site I am not the only one. How can we stand against this company and fight? I am about to walk away from my home that I had put many hours of sweat equity in it for nothing...... : - (

You can get a copy of the checks that you made your payments with and the backside of the check will give you the information you need to know... the who/when & where of where the money went to. Even if it was cashier's checks or money orders, you can get this information. Hope this help a little.
