since november of 2007 I have been in the process of trying to get a loan modification. Every time I fax the info needed I wait to hear from them and than get one phone call and the next day in the mail a letter of intent to forclose. They have told me not to send payments , when I try and reach a person assigned to my case I get their voicemail leave a message and never recieve a call back.

I have had to submitt my papers to the workout department six times now because of there mistakes . Whenever I talk to anybody they have no documentation of my phone calls ect.. and I have to start the process again. This is insane I feel they are lying and trying to steal my home. The last time I sent in paperwork was september and I have called several times and am told they are still reveiwing it. Why woul they take this long and refuse to take any money? Every employee you speak with has told me a different story .

Please help I just want to be able to keep my home ! What they are doing should be illeagal. My daughters modification took a total of 28 days and I have been doing this for a year. I can't believe a company this big can get away with what they are doing to people who just want to save their homes thay just need help. They tell you the last thing they want to do is foreclose, than why won't they work with people?

I'm at my wits end on what to do . I'm so tired of their runaround isn't there any agency's that can help or stop this . Please Help Me

That's what banks do now.

Banks are overwhelmed with the demand for Modifications right now. After my bank screwed me around for two months I got a call from Modifications4you.com. It took a few months, but I did get a lower rate, and it can never go up again. You can do the modification yourself, but going with this company was a lot easier for me personally. And no, I do not work for them. They helped me keep my house, so I'll help them get some business this way. It's the least I can do.

I work for Countrywide in the loss mitigation department. The department is completely unorganized. Files all over the place and lately the memos are completely ridiculous. They tell us basically to tell everyone that their modification is in processing and if they keep asking questions we're supposed to transfer them to customer service. I can't tell you how many frustrated borrowers i talk to on a daily basis. Their system of passing off people has basically resulted in less work getting accomplished on these files. When I spoke to my senior supervisor he basically told me to follow the memos and stop asking so many questions. I've spoke to a couple of my co-workers outside of work and they have the same complaints. I've thought about complaining but I have a family to provide for so I'm kinda stuck. Something else worth mentioning is that a company called Professional Loan Modifications get all of their files put into the rush bin. So if you get sick of getting transferred and hung up on you might want to check them out. When I asked my manager why their files get special treatment he said "because they have a special relationship with us" maybe someone from that company can chime in.
