Our loan was bought by Countrywide NOT at our discretion. We went through Chapter 7 Bankruptcy, but kept the loan through reaffirmation. During this time, even though late fees and charges are to cease during the process of bankruptcy, Countrywide added on all these late fees and lawyer fees that we had to pay or lose the house. Why the h*** should we pay their lawyer fees. They chose to go to court. We obviously have enough financial burden.

We paid anyway, the loan was reinstated. After a year or so, we got behind due to the birth of our daughter and more financial issues. In January 2004, we were behind 3 months. We tried to pay the amount due, but they said we would have to pay for 4 months plus lawyer fees before they could stop foreclosure. They sent a lawyer to take a pic of our house, add $400 for that picture to the fees we owed, and pay THEIR closure cost of $1000, even though the house had not been foreclosed, BEFORE they would let us keep the house. We paid $4250 to them on Feb 19, and then saw our house in the newspaper anyway, and learned it had been there for 2 weeks!!

During that time, we had tried to send money to them to avoid all court fees. They would not take partial payments, and kept adding to the amount we owed. It went from $2600 to $4250 in 2 short weeks. For 3 weeks, they would not return our calls, they would put us on hold for up to 30 minutes at a time, and then tell us they did not handle our account in that department...on Saturdays, their automated line would tell us that they were open from 7am-12 Noon, and it being 10am, it would tell you to call back during normal business hours. HELLO!!!!!!!!!!

If their sorry rear ends aren't going to work, let people like me who can't even afford day care, even when working, do their jobs right!!!! I have had reps at Countrywide tell me I am rude when I am trying to understand what they are telling me. They have basically called us liars and told us, "Well, you told us you would pay by this date and you didn't, now there are fees added..." when I was not working due to the birth of my child, and they would not help us work it out with their so-called Work Out Dept.

This has to stop. I have read too much, and it WILL stop if I have to contact state and federal agencies, it WILL, and all of us suffering from the work-your-butt-off-and-get-nowhere-with-Countrywide Association will be able to rest at night knowing we can afford our homes, and someone cares to help us!!!!!!!!!!

JUST RECEIVED A LETTER SAYING MY INSURANCE PREMIUM NOT PAID

#2Author of original report

Sun, February 22, 2004

We received a letter this week telling us that our insurance premium had not been paid by Countrywide to our insurance company, but Countrywide's statements are telling us that it was paid. Where has this money gone??????????? It was in escrow from Dec-October...that is an adequate amount. I want to know where it is, and I want my insurance paid!!! If they are pocketing the money, they have some serious problems about to arise. If there is a class action law suit, I want to be first in line!!!!!!!!!!!!
