Courtesy Ford In Conyers Theives at Courtesy Ford Service department Conyers, Georgia
In November 2008 I took my 1999 Mercury Mounntaineer to Courtesy Ford in Conyers. The complaint was for power windows not working, windshield wiper intermitten comes on by itself and engine light on. I received an estimate for about $1,900. They estimate just everything on the vehicle from needing new battery, replacing break fluid, replace power steering fluid, replacing radiator fluids, replacing transmission fluids and whole bunch of other stuff I did not asked for. I got $310 charge for window repair, $360 for windshield wiper repair and a $220 for the engine light repair. I decline window and windshield wiper problem. Paid the $220 for the engine light problem. Turn out they replace a vacumn hose and told me to drive the vehicle for about 50 to 60 miles so computer would reprogram itself. The customer relation manager called me doing a survey to ask was I satisfied. I stated to her I was not because it did not take 3 hours to replace the hose as stated on invoice. She talk to the service personnel and they told her it took 2 hours to reprogram the computer in the car. I told her the technician told me to drive the car around for 50 to 60 miles so the computer would reprogram itself once the code was cleared. Once I told her that I was not satisfied and that didn't believed what she was saying or the technician she never called back. Founded out the window problem, radio and windshield wiper problems was associated with a broken wire between the door and the driver side kick panel. It took me about 10 to 15 minutes to installed a jumpers wire and repaired the problem. They was going to charge me $360.00 to replace the muti-function wiper switch which was not broken. they was going to charge me $310.00 to repair a broken wire that took me 15 minutes at the most to repair. I did not have a battery problems before going there but had one after leaving. Later I notice acid on the battery cover. Removed the battery cover and it appeared to me the acid from the battery had been removed. Install water in the battery and recharge the battery and haven't had battery problem since. I am a retired electronics technician and had the ability to know what they was saying did not make sense. If you take car or truck there be aweful careful because I believe someone there is a theif.

I had a 1993 Ford thunderbird that I took to courtesy ford back in 2001. The car had died on my way home from work. Took it to their shop they called me that afternoon stating that the engine was bad it would cost me 3,500 to have a new one put in. I had to rent a car from them for the week that cost me over $350.00. I kept calling them to check on the status of my car by Friday they still had not touched it. At that point I contacted Covington Ford to see if they were backed up. Covington Ford went to pick up my car at courtesy. Surprise surprise I got a return phone call from Covington Ford that same afternoon that my car was ready. I asked them how the rep stated that all my car needed was a water pump it would be $287. I contacted courtesy very upset about this. After letting them know I meant buisness and I wasn't backing down they sent me a check for the rental car. I told them that If they had fixed my car in one day like Covington Ford did then I wouldn't have had to rent a car so they were responible. I will never send anyone to Courtesy Ford but I highly recommend Covington Ford they have always been good.
