Covenant Transport Poorly Managed, dispatcher Brian Dodson Chattanooga, Tennessee
My experience with Covenant has been positive until a recent dispatcher became my dispatcher. If you want the dispatchers name contact me by responding to this thread.
The ineptness goes like this:
1.) My team truck sits for several days before getting a load assignment. This is a regular occurrence and this never happened with previous dispatchers.
2.) Covenant failed to pay both my team driver and me for over 1,000 empty miles. I discovered this by keeping notes on all of my miles driven and comparing them with trips paid. I contacted payroll to troubleshoot the problem and found that dispatch had entered the no pay feature in the computer system. I confronted my dispatcher for an explanation and got none. However, dispatch did correct the no pay problem and my team did get paid.
I find this to be somewhat disturbing since incomprehensible it is to me that a dispatcher would think a driver would drive over 1,000 miles for no pay.
So, I recommend that drivers check miles paid with miles dispatched each week. If I had not performed this check both my co driver and myself would have missed that pay.
