Complaint Review: Coventry Tree Service

I called Coventry Tree Service/David Beckman to remove a tree from my property.  A branch of the tree had fallen on the ground.  David Beckman quoted the whole project at $2500.  He said I would have to give a $700 cash down payment on the first day of work where he could cut up the fallen tree limb.  Him and 2 others came to my home and cut up the tree limb in 30 minutes and I gave David Beckman $700 cash as he requested.  I requested a contract and he failed to give it to me.  I asked for a reciept and he gave me a generic recipet that had no company name or what the $700 was for.  He told me he would be back in one week to cut up the rest of the tree.  He never came back and never called again.  I have tried to call him numerous times and he won't return any phone calls.  He took my $700 for 30 minutes of work and did not clean up anything.  David Beckman and Coventry Tree Service are scammers.  Buyers Beware.
