Complaint Review: Cowboy Dodge

Back in July, 2001 my boyfriend who was at the time friends with Shane Cauley, son of the owner Dennis Cauley saw a 1999 Ford Pickup that really caught his eye. He was waiting for his inheritance to come and wanted a newer truck. He talked to Dennis about the truck and see if he could have the truck and pay in full cash with inheritance. It was agreed and he left with the truck. Funds did not arrive as told but he kept Cowboy Dodge informed all the time and had letter of assuring payment for our lawyer in November 2001.

March of 2002 new paperwork was signed as if it were a contract sale but told us it was for their insurance purpose. End of April they wanted truck back but still new probate had not ended. Took truck back in excellent condition, apoligized about the probate and when funds came he would be back to get truck if not sold. He was severd court papers for the amount of the deal. About 2 weeks later he received his money and we stopped by Cowboy Dodge so he could see if truck wasn't sold and to talk to Dennis. Dennis was gone so salesperson relayed message when he was coming in with money.

Couple of days later he came in with a cashiers check for the truck but no new paperwork was signed on the deal. Dennis took the check and when he saw the truck it was disgusting, not the condition it was 2 weeks ago and you could tell they used it hard. He refused to take the truck and demanded his money back. Dennis ordered him out of the business and refused to listen to anything on the condition.

When my boyfriend got home a Cheyenne Police Officer came to the house and said he was not allow on property, allowed to call Dennis no contact at all. And when told what happen the officer could not do anything about it. We filed papers with the attorney general and I went to try and get the money back and saw for myself that the truck was worn. Of course I didn't get the money but the women told me that he needed to call Dennis and discuss the matter. Right I told them why, so they could run to police and get him in trouble. Attorney General was a waste of time.

After seven months of getting no where, unfortunatly he took his own action. Wrapped a note around a WWII Souvenir gernade that could never every explode because it had been disabled and we used it as a paperweight. The out come, they lied and said it was over work he had done to the truck. Never happened, Never told them they took truck back and didn't keep to the agreement, just took the money and ran and tried to give him a truck that they used and abused.

Changed story when Grand Jury did find the firs 2 charges were not valid and year later 5 different charges were filed and the coverup and lies sent my financee to prison for 30 years. They lied while under oath to the jury, didn't tell whole story. But we were not allowed the same option for our side. They know they lied, they know they screwed us royally, and they think it's over. They destory his yougest daughter and she was killed in a car accident in 2005, and they have made my life hell.

I have all documents to prove what they did and I am going so public with everything and with the attornies, ATF, everyone involved. Even a e-mail from his son saying he had nothing to do with them screwing over my finacee. I welcom anyone who wants to help expose these crooks and theives and help all of us who have been screwed and robbed by Cowboy Dodge and get justic like we should have gotten.
