On Janurary 7, 2016 Cowtown Music took my 65 Fender Jazz Bass for consignment sale which was completed on February 24, 2016 ... it is now 72 days later and I'm still have NOT received payment.  Cowtown Music has had all the money since February 8th (89 days), the buyer has had the guitar since Februrary 24th (73 days), and I have nothing.

Multiple times I've requested they send me proof of sale amount and for them to send me my percentage of that. I've received nothing from them. For several weeks after the sale Jesse Amoroso made  excuses about having to check with bookkeeping.  Then, after that, Jesse Amoroso assured me three different times that a check is on the way .. but the check never arrives. One of these, on April 11th, he sent a USPS tracking number but as today (25 days later) nothings been shipped or received ... they just printed a USPS shipping label to get the tracking number.

After multiple emails and no check in hand, I finally filed complaint with southern Nevada BBB and consumer affairs .. so far to no effect .. just back and forth. I've posted reviews with my issue on several review sites .. so far no effect.

I winter in Las Vegas so may have to take them to small claims court. This just does not seem fair dealings or any way to run a business. I should have done a better job of checking them out .. I let the `glitter` of Pawn Stars cloud my thinking.

I'd like them to be stand up guys, keep their, word and honor their contract.

Cowtown Guitars Paid But Do NOT Know If It Is Right Amount

After three months of being ignored, being told check is sent and then it never arrives, and filing complaints with both the Nevada BBB and Nevada Consumer Affairs Agency .. finally, finally I DID receive a check from Cowtown Guitars.  But, it was for lowest amount (my payment is based on actual sales price and only have their word about how much it sold for).

I've sent Cowtown Guitars multiple requests for proof of sale amount (i.e. payout is percentage of sales amount and contracted sales price was a range) .. all requests were ignored, never received a copy of the sales receipt.

Cowtown Guitars sent a check ONLY after Nevada Consumer Affairs Agency got involved ... and Cowtown Guitars still owes NCA a copy of the sales receipt (proof of sale amount) .. which NCA promised to forward to me.  So, I'm still waiting for some proof of the actual sale amount.
