Cox Communications COX FRAUD after cancelling phone service Internet
After canceling COX for my BUSINESS PHONE LINE, several months passed and COX sent a bill for excess of $880.00 claiming early termination fee. After requesting PROOF of agreement to the early termination fee, COX representative Carla Jordan sent a FRAUD document which ADDED (inserted) a rectangular box claiming a 36 month term. I informed Carla Jordan I DID NOT sign for a 36 month term, and this "inserted rectangular box" was added, which makes the document a FRAUD. Carla Jordan claimed she would "research it" and get back to me. The next call I receive is from a collection agency asking me when I can pay the balance! As a current residential customer for Internet access, cable TV and a home phone, they have just lost their revenue stream from this service today!

Cox in Nevada Is a Ripoff Too: Here's Help!
#2Consumer Suggestion
Wed, February 10, 2010
I have a same Similar Problem with Cox. They are the only carriers in Michigan and Now they are doing it in Nevada and across country. Cox did the same thing there with over charging, double billing, excessive fees.
All the reports on the ripoff report alone will Constitute a Class Action Lawsuit for Consumers. Hopefully, some LAW FIRM will take up the cause for all of us! In the Mean time, keep all pertinent documents, file complaints with Federal Trade Commission and make sure to refer them to the Ripoffreport.com. File also with GAO.gov, *The Government Accounting Office and believe it or not IRS and file a form 3949A! Also Contact your State's Attorney General and All Consumer Advocacy groups and the Better Business Bureau. Be patient they will look into it and give them what they so justly deserve!
