Cox Communications Cox Ripoff claims "savings" cox.com Nationwide
When I got Cox High Speed Interent they claimed I saved $10.00 a month when I got their "video product" I pay $54.00 a month for Premier but with taxes and their "video product" it will be around $80.00 or so. I wish Cox would just allow us to get their Internet alone for $54.00 and not jack up the price.
This is not a savings but a way to get us the consumer to get their video product. I wish Cox would change their ways and soon. $54.00 I can afford..$80 sorta.
Please note this is what the bill is:
Cox HSI: $54.00
Basic Cable $10.00
Taxes ???
If I don't get their video product their Premier goes up to $64.00 a month. WHERES THE SAVINGS?!

Not in this area. If you get Cox HSI you MUST get their video product to get the "savings" I asked them and they said the price goes up by $10.00
Again no savings here.
Here is a cut and paste from their website:

We don't have any need for TV and pay for internet only from Cox Communcations. Our bill in total each month is $59.90. If we would order cable for TV they offered us 10 bucks a month off of our internet, but we declined the offer since we don't watch TV.
Try calling them again and seeing what can be worked out so you are paying for internet access only, nothing else.
