Complaint Review: Cox Communications

Cox Communications has had this account in limbo since May 2002. They sent a bill for a modem that had been paid for since Dec 2001. I spoke with them in June 2002, again July 11, 2002. Each time they sent a letter to the collections department. And said I would hear something back in 48 hours, which never happened.

On August 26, 2002 I received a letter from Credit Protection Association, Lp. I called them and filed a grevance and contacted Cox Communications. They once again said the situation was taken care of. I checked again on Sept 19, 2002 and Sept 25, 2002. They said the problem was cleared up.

This account was my daughter's when she was in college. So she had moved our of state. She realized that it was on her credit. When she was turned down for a credit card. I have been dealing with Cox for over a week again. And everytime I call they tell me the same thing that they did last year. And that it will take 3 to 6 months to get it off her credit. So here I am trying to get some help.
