Cox High Speed Internet Posted that their security center has anti-virus and anti-spyware potection. Yet, since I've downloaded their security I've has noting but viruses and spyware on my computer. Glendale Arizona
I currently have Cox High Speed Internet. Recently my McAfee was expiring so before it expired I downloaded Cox's free security center to protect my computer. They advertized Safe is Beautiful with Cox High Speed Internet and the FREE Cox Security Suite. It showed their Anti-Virus On demand virus protection and Anti-Spyware Finds and removes spyware programs. In order to download it I had to remove EVERYTHING from McAfee in order for their security to run. I did that and ever since I've had nothing but viruses and anti-spy ware problems on my computer.
When I called them they told me it was normal to have spy-ware and that I should do the spy~ware check twice in a row to get rid of spyware. I've done it up to 6 times in a row and each time it finds over 10 spy~wares. Recently I've been getting alerts from the Anti~virus and it tells me to do a virus scan. Which I've been getting at least two or more viruses found on my system that can not be repaired and the file has to be deleted. Well, no matter how many times I do these scans and quarantine or delete it just doesn't go away. I was told I had protection against this not that I'd get it and they'd TRY to get rid of it for me.
Now I have to take my hard drive in to get it fixed and probably will have buy a real security program.
