Complaint Review: Cozy and VIP Travel Reservations

My husband and I attended a presentation by this place called COZY.  We thought this might be a nice day trip and we would at least have a nice dinner on them.  We listened to the presentation and thought it sounded pretty good.  You purchased the rights to software that would save you thousands in travel cost for vacations including crusies, flights, car rentals, etc.  What could be better?  And they gave us a Fly Away for 2 round trip flights anywhere in the continential US. Wow.  This was offered by VIP Travel Reservations.  All we had to do was send in $100.00 deposit and pick out flights, this we did immediately. 

You could not imagine the hoops of fire we had to jump through, they denied our voucher after keeping it 8 weeks and then returned it saying we had not sent it certified mail.  Well, they got it, kept it 8 weeks and then voided it.  Well, here we go again.  We send in a new voucher and there were so many black out dates, I fully expected to see my grandmothers birthday on there.  They once again denied it saying it was unable.  They are just trying you get you to give up I am sure.  In the meantime following numerous unreturned phone calls, the service is not user friendly and better deals can be gotten numerous other locations.  We paid off the package the day we signed up. 

Yesterday we received a phone call from a collection agency saying we owed $189.00 yearly fee.  Nothing was said when we signed up about a yearly fee to keep the package.  It was a total rip off and we really would like to start procedings with a attorney to get some or all of our money back.  The gentleman with the collection agency said that if the fee wasn't paid yearly we would just lose all the money.  We are so disgusted and regreting that we were taken in by this scam.  If anyone else can benefit from knowing this, and please do not sign up, you will be so grateful.......Sincerely Alice H
