CP Investors Threatened to file 2 class a felony charges against me if i didn't pay them today Maryland Internet
I recieved a call saying that my account was going into litigation with 2 charges of fraud, for a payday loan I took out in October 2010. I have no recollection of ever taking out a payday loan from them and had no deposits in my bank account from 2010-2011 from any source that wasnt myself or my place of employment. I never received any corospondance from anyone about this until a few months ago when they called me and tried to make me pay them 800$.
I requested that they send me any and all information they had on my "account" to either my email or physical address, and never heard anything back. Now they say that I need to pay them 660$ today for this to go away. They have threatened to basically ruin my credit and take me before a judge in order to get 2,046$ from me in penalty and fees.
I don't know what to do or who to call tp get this taken care of. They said this loan is my responsibility, even though I never received any funds. They also had my full social secrtiy number, previous place of employment and address. I contacted my local news outlet to report this and to find out what I should do, but haven't heard back from them as of yet.
