Complaint Review: CPS Consumer Portfolio Services

Today is the last day of the year and I received 13 calls on my cell phone from CPS two of them before 8am and one at 8:02am and the rest at 5:23pm back to back and that was because I hung up on them and they continued to call. They left a message at 7:52 this morning stating that my husband said that I had the car and that they were going to repot it stolen. I am wondering how do you report something stolen that you have financed?

I tried talking to these people but they are terrible! I have had a bad year of funeral services, I buried my father in the early part of this year a bother in law in July and my grandmother last month November 3rd who lived with me and my sister died the following week Nov. 8th, 2007. I told them but of course they didn't believe me. I have asked them not to call my cell number but they continue to and I don't know how they got it but today they have called me 13 times and 2 times while I'm filing this complaint...that makes 15 calls.

They have told me that they can not give me an extension so there is really not much I can do at this point. I was in a car accident that has caused me to wait for disability but of course they don't want to hear that. I plan on paying this car off in February unless they repossess it by then and then they won't get a dime. They lied and said that they talked to my husband this morning and he was in bed asleep so I know that it was a lie it was a tactic to get me to call them so they could talk crazy to me. I know that I owe them the money but how can you work out something when they wont listen and they also ask me to write a bogas check dated for the end of the month and I said why would I do that, there is no money in there and then they ask if I can borrow it from friends or someone and I said let me borrow it from you and they tell me that I am being smart well they are being smart also. Please don't do business with this company they are the loaners from HELL!!
