I returned a telephone call to this debt collection department (877-277-5554) to correct an error in records. I was being called regarding an account that I am not associated with. The person associated with the account must have had my phone number years ago. I do not know this person and unfortunately have the privilege of having her old phone number. I have received several calls regarding her in the past and have always tried to assist companies by informing them that this person no longer has this telephone number.

Today, 3/18 at 5:15pm, I attempted to reach a customer service agent to correct the issue. My son is sick today and when an agent did pick up, the man said in a rude tone, "Is that a god-damned baby crying?" and promptly hung up the phone. I called back and when I was connected, it was the same agent. I asked if he was the person whom I had talked to earlier. Again, he hung up. I called a third time and talked to a female agent. She hung up on me. I called a fourth time and finally was allowed to talk. I informed the person of the phone number issue and she deleted the phone number or record. I wasn't satisfied, so I called again and asked to speak with a manager. I was transferred to the voice mail of the man who commented about my crying son. I left a message that reflected my anger with him. I should have been more professional with my comments; however, I was angry that he would treat anyone in the manner that he treated me, let alone a person trying to assist his company with debt collection.

I wonder if this is the way that all of their clients are treated. Isn't debt collection hard enough without making clients angry and forcing them to call back five times to resolve issues? I am a small business owner that requires a service like this. I won't be using this service. Never.

I've never had an experience like that. What was that all about?
