CR England Trying the Ripoff on my Partner right now as I type this! Salt Lake City Utah

As of this morning my fiance left the Salt Lake City, Utah yard with a trailor that was for his truck.  He did not pick up a load they were going to assign him.  He was contacted by his DM asking what was going on and told his DM that due to the night shift DM he couldn't trust them to tell them he was coming home to help us move as we're being evicted.  We're being evicted because since the beginning of February my partner has been through the CR England school training and once finishing was told he had to sign a lease and work for them.  That was at the end of May 2013 that he got his leased truck.

Since then he's been starving as they first sat him in a mechanic shop within 2 days of his leaving the yard with his leased truck. He sat there for over a week and they still charged him for the leasing of it for that week.  No pay for almost two weeks right up front.  The third week they have him negative of over 1400.00, the fourth week negative over 700.00 and even CHARGED him for 5 days for picking up a student in Dallas area school when the truck was down and the student had left the very next day from being picked up the day before.  They never refunded that even though HR said they were going to, it never showed up on his check listing.  They also charge a "variable" charge for things and that takes A LOT of money as well.  What are these variables?????

Then they ran him for another week solo, all over, making sure his ticket loads were days apart so he would have to sit and wait to unload.  They tell him they will send him to Texas and have him pick up another student then tell him to come back to Utah after sending him to the East Coast.  By mathematical figures, 2500 miles should take care of most of his expenses on the truck.  He got 3400 miles and his check was STILL -61.00 this last week.

He's been going without food for 3 and 4 days at a time.  This is safe?  Our bills at home aren't getting paid and things are being shut down now and we're now having to move as well without ANY money.  So he left the yard this morning and is driving the truck down to Texas.  His DM first tells him that he's cutting off his fuel cards, that he has a trailor illegally and why is he not being honest with the company.  My fiance responded and told him that he had the trailor assigned to him, the guard checked it out and authorized it upon him leaving the yard.

That there is a sign posted that CR England will fine anyone driving bobtail 3,500.00 if they are caught outside of the yard.  He also told his DM that his family is being evicted and he needed to get back to Texas to help us.  He (the DM), had said he was going to send him to Texas to get a student then sent him to Utah instead and STILL did not get him a student for 2nd seat and then was going to send him to Alabama. It's Tuesday and my fiance has no money, no food, nothing.  And from what it's showing already, next week he won't get a paycheck or the week after that.

The DM wanted honesty and my fiance did reply with honesty.

He asked his DM what would he do if he, himself, had been starving on and off for almost 3 months, worrying about his family while he's out there working his a*s off and then getting paid nothing.  That he has to come and help situate us so that's one less stress on his mind while he's out there starving and working for NOTHING.

The DM only responded with saying that they would have to have a *talk* before my fiance would be allowed another load with them.  That was it.  Nothing more.

These people who work for CR England doing this are just cruel and heartless people.  How can ANYONE with a conscious starve people and have their families go without even the basics that everyone needs???  How?

In closing I have to say that my fiance took pictures of ALL of these messages that went back and forth between him and this DM and we're reporting this to the labor board and the attorney general here and finding a lawyer that will work with us.

I think that five months of being lied to, baited, bullied, starving and near homelessness is MORE than enough pay for this program they offer to people.  So if you're thinking about getting a CDL and trucking, do your research!  Go to a school and then hire on locally with a decent company after researching.  Avoid this company and their partners like Swift!  Unfortunately, we've been finding this out the hard way.

Yes he should have at least read the overflow of reviews and complaints.   This is true.  And also, not sign a lease with a company that controls the paycheck.  True again.  The 5 years... nah.  I don't agree with that statement.  At all.  He's a hard worker and did very well on miles and logs.  Passed DOT check spots etc.  He's a very good worker.  In fact, he got scooped up within 2 days of leaving CR England sheerly due to his work history.  So we're not worried on the job front with him at this point.

What's really sad is that there will be many more other victims to go through this process with CR England.  Even sadder is the fact that people aren't filing against them and getting them off of the 'top' list of schools for obtaining a CDL.  They really shouldn't be on the list given their practices.

Oh please.  He did get all of the information, checked it all out.  This is also going on with many others as well.  It's the same bait and switch and nickel/dime them to death that CR England does to each person.  Have you done *research* on their high statistic turn over?  Probably not.  Don't parrot for them, esp. not on my complaint.  I've researched BOTH sides of the fence and what you say is just utterly moronic in statement.

I am afraid your fiancé did not have the proper information to be successful in the lease program. Checkout www.youtube.com/user/jr4488Training

Sorry to hear about your bad luck but had your partner done a search of cr England on this site before joining them he would have known what to expect. Hopefully he learns a lesson to research a company before signing up. Also, a new driver shouldn't even think about leasing until he has at least 5 years under his beLt. And never ever lease from the company that controls your paycheck!
