CRA Towling and Recovery Over charged for a tow, risking damage to a vehcile and risking the safety of pedestrians Kearny, New Jersey
My car was towed from a 3 hour lot at the 2 hour point even though I had a reciept from the shop. I was charged $242.45 for a 2 mile tow, including extra fee to pick up after 10pm and a $30 fee for scates. I have pictures to proves scates were not used which means the car which is 4 wheel drive and was in park was dragged acroos the car park and up onto the flat bed.
It was also not tied down to transport through a residentail area and the car was hanging on by half a tires width. 6 inches from coming off the truck. I have pictures of this too. Their man said "yeah we didn't use scates, so what"
I had to pay to get the car and called the next day to speak with owner. Many days and 6 calls later I spoke to him. He didn't want to see the pictures and only offered to pay me back the $30 sctae fee after I told him I was going to report they way my car was transported through a residentail area not tied down and show how close it was from falling from the truck. He never did pay me back.
CRA are an embarassment to the Automotive Recovery Industry
