Crabapple Soap Factory - crabapplesoap.com ripoff, dishonest, very shady business Alpharetta Georgia
On September 13, 2005, I purchased a mug set from crabapplesoap.com after doing a search online. I was in a bit of a hurry to have this gift delivered, so I didn't research the company. Big mistake.
I continued searching online and immediately found a better deal on a better item, so I went back to the website to find a customer service number to cancel the order, however, the website stated their phone lines were down due to an overwhelming amount of orders. The date on there was from 2004.
After my purchase, I received an email from them confirming my purchase and that's pretty much the only thing I ever received from them. I replied back asking them to please cancel my order, but never received a response. I sent a total of 4 emails to them on 9/13/05, 9/15 & finally 9/19/05 and again, never received a response even though the website claimed a response to emails would be sent within 24 hours.
I went ahead & filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau on 9/19/05 after many attempts to cancel and get my money back. It was then that I found out this "company" had 6 complaints on file and had only responded to 1. If you do a search now, there's a total of 27 complaints, 25 of which have been filed in the last 12 months (as of 2/15/06).
Unfortunately, my bank could not reverse the charges since I did authorize it, so to this day I haven't received a refund, reply or my order which I really don't care to receive. I waited about 6 weeks before calling the Better Business Bureau to follow up on my complaint and they advised me that it had been escalated due to the high number of complaints this company has received, unfortunately, there was nothing more they could do for me. I tried getting a phone number through 411 under the company name and also under the founder and owner listed on the website but they only have disconnected phone numbers.

The company I reported submitted a rebuttal saying their store was vandalized in the Fall of 05 when I placed my order and looking at a couple of reports filed that were responded to, they claim the store was vandalized in November of 05, so was the store vandalized each month and why hasn't my money been refunded or why wasn't the merchandise ever shipped out? Because this company is committing fraud and stealing money. They also indicated I should send an email to receive a refund..did that too and still no refund!!
I'm now working with my bank to get the money back and that means they will need to investigate. I would strongly recommend people stay away from this shady company. They can post all the rebuttals they want and tell you to email every email address they can come up with, they have no intention of returning money or looking out for their customers. That's how thieves are, just look out for themselves. I'm eager to read a response to this.

According to the rebuttal from Crapapple soap factory, they were vandalized in the fall and customers should've received a refund by now and if not, to send an email..Well, I never received a refund AND I sent an email to the address posted on the rebuttal, still no response which doesn't surprise me at all. These people are just thieves that stole a lot of money and are trying to save face by posting some fake story about a vandalism. If they were realized vandalized and the merchandise was stolen, they should've posted something on their website and stopped taking orders and money from people but they continued and got away with it.

In the fall of 2005 we were vandalized and our inventory was not covered by insurance. It has taken months to recover. All customers should have received a refund or merchandise by this date. If not, please send an email to: crabapplerefunds@hotmail.com and we will address your order on an individual basis.
