I bought a Scamp travel trailer off of Craigslist on 1-21-16. the seller called themselves Ashley Harris and claimed that she worked for Nabors Drilling Co. and had the trailer in Redding, CA. and needed to sell it to pay a back mortage payment for her mother. She claimed that it would be delivered and I would pay for the gas. This seller had me pay for the trailer using Ebay gift cards and had a fake Ebay invoice sent with instructions and a phone number (((REDACTED))) that answered and acted like ebay. They asked for the invoice #. On the paper it claimed that the payment was insured and would be held until the merchandise was delivered. Now when I call I only get a recording that they are busy with other customers - That phone # was supposedly Ebay. The phone # for the seller was (((REDACTED))) and she claimed that she could only text back since her phone wasn't working.

Ashley Harris is, today, trying to sell a '93 Winnebago Camper with 28,599 miles for $2500.00. Such a deal. I've seen the scam before....mother is behind on mortgage, Ashley works on an oil rig in the gulf, can have camper delivered...yada yada. Perhaps the real Ashley Harris, who actually exists, might try to put a stop to this. That is all.
