On October 3 2006 I purchased a Samsung HLN617 DLP Television from Crazy4Digital aka DigitalKings aka BestStopPlasma. The item was listed as being new and before I purchased the item I confirmed this with their sales rep. This person said that his name was Henry Sanders and he assured me that the Television was brand new and that it had never been used. I also purchased the 5 year warranty for the TV.

When I received the Television I noticed a small white dot on the TV screen. Soon after I also noticed that one of the Component inputs did not work. I immediately contacted Crazy4Digital and spoke to Henry Sanders again. I informed him about the problem with the TV and expressed that I would either need a replacement or an immediate repair. I also explained that I did not understand why a brand new Television would have this issue. He told me again that this TV was new and that these were very small and common problems that would sometimes arise during the shipping process. He told me that the TV was still under warranty from Samsung and that they would take care of the issue.

After a long ordeal, that took almost three months and repair estimate of more than $1500, the TV was finally repaired by an authorized Samsung ASC.

4 months later (June 7 2007) the TV stopped working completely. I contacted Samsung again to request another repair. However they informed me that the TV was refurbished and thus came with only a 90 day warranty. I told them that the TV was new not refurbished. However they confirmed that the TV was in fact refurbished and that there was a record of it having been serviced before well prior to my purchase.

After hearing this I called Crazy4Digital, told them that they had lied to me about the TV being new and demanded that they take their refurbished defective Television back and refund my money. They refused to do so. I then informed them about the second problem with the TV and reminded them that I had purchased their 5 year warranty. They claimed that TechPro was the company that I needed to contact regarding the warranty.

When I contacted TechPro the same man, Henry Sanders, answered the phone. This is when I realized that Crazy4Digital and TechPro were the same company. He informed me that I was not covered because I had not registered the warranty. He said that I would need to register the warranty and then wait one year before I could have the TV repaired. I told them that I had in fact registered the warranty online in October and that it made no sense that he could not see that in his records.

At that time I warned that I would take legal action against TechPro and Crazy4Digital if they did not honor the warranty that I had purchased for $400 or refund my $1725.68 purchase, warranty and shipping amount. He then said that they would honor the warranty. But the following week when Crazy4Digital/TechPro received the fax from the TV repair tech which showed a repair estimate of $1050 he decided to change his mind. He told me that they would replace the TV instead but that I would be responsible for all of the shipping charges.

I have gone back in forth with Mr. Henry Sanders this past week trying to set up the product replacement terms. Each day he claims that he will send me an email containing all of the information regarding when and how the replacement process can proceed. But to this date (June 22 2007) he has not sent an email.

I am thoroughly disgusted with this horrible corrupt company. I am seeking a full refund of $1725.68 in exchange for their refurbished, morbidly defective Television.
