CRC Of Raritan Valley BEWARE of CRC of Raritan Valley! ripoff Avenel New Jersey
As a result of a single telemarketing conversation, CRC of Raritan Valley has sent me nearly 60 magazines. I did not order a single one of them! It seems they have also sold or given my information to other organizations because I am now getting junk mail from entities related to the magazines I'm getting. (For example, I've mysteriously started receiving a golf magazine. Since then, I've also started getting solicitations from a golf organization. I don't even like or play golf. Coincidence? I think not!) My efforts to contact CRC have been fruitless.
I would suggest that should CRC ever call you, do not speak to them. Do not give them any credit card information. If you have already spoken with them, record all of the details of your conversation, email them to CRC and keep a copy for yourself. Tell them that you want NOTHING from them. You are cancelling any orders or agreements and have no intention of paying a thing. They have no written contract with you so at this point, I think that you should have no obligation to pay for anything they may still choose to send. (Consult a lawyer on this to be sure!) Remember, keep notes on all of this -- you're going to need all the "evidence" you can get if they are as unresponsive to you as they have been to me.
I have now filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and with the National Do Not Call Registry. Hopefully that will nip this in the bud.... before the bills for magazines I didn't even order start rolling in. If they've ripped you off, file a formal complaint -- maybe if enough people complain, they'll get shut down!
