In about Sept of 2006 I recieved a phone call from this company about ordering some magazines for only 39.90 and a free gold watch (male or female, I chose the female for my fiance). So they explained everthing to me and from what I understood this was my payment and I chose a few magazines and I would be recieving my "free" watch and a list of magazines in case I wanted to order something different.

Well about three week later I recieved the first magazine that I never even heard of and a few others. Not a watch or a list to change magazines. Then i recieved a bill that said my first payment of 39.90 was due on Oct. 22nd of 2006 and if we didn't send a check or money order by said date, not to worry they would take the payment directly out of my CC account.

So I contacted the CRC of Southern California and I explained to them that I must have miss understood the conversationand I would like to cancel my subscription. The proceeded to tell me that I could not cancel my supscription. Since when, I can cancel anything that I order.

Well I don't normally deal with bills and puchases of such so I told them to talk to my fiance. Well she can get a little irate sometimes so the hung up on her after telling her that they have to talk to me, well I already gave her permission to talk to her about my account so that should not have been a problem. Then they hung up on her.

So we called back and I asked to speak to a manager and the operator that answered told me that she was a manager, I told her that I would like to cancel this account and she to told me that I could not. She told me that on the phone recording from the original call I agreed to this subscription and I told her I miss understood. She told me to cancel this account I would have to pay $900 in full.

So again I told her to talk to my fiance and then she said well we can give you a discount and only pay $500 but I still could not cancel. So I told her that I would not be paying for any magazines and she told me that she would be getting the payments through my CC account, and if she couldn't get it through there then she would sending it a collection agency.

So we called the CC campany and told them the situation and they put the CC under lost or stolen and is sending us a new one. So we will see what happens from here.
