While working on my computer one evening a security alert came up on my screen. It was called "Security Tool" and stated that my computer was attacked by several viruses and worms. It gave a choice to ignore and proceed unprotected. Since I already have an internet security program installed on my computer, I did not trust this one as being real. I figured my program would certainly alert me if there was really a problem. So, after clicking the "proceed unprotected" button, the alert still would not go away. The only choice it would give was to pay for protection and listed several charges from $49.95. I tried every which way to get this to stop popping up. I even shut down the computer. When I re-booted, there it was again! I decided I could only make it go away if I purchased what they were selling. First I tried a bogus credit card # to trick it, but it recognized that it wasn't a valid #. Well, I went ahead and gave my credit card info and as soon as it got that, it acted like it was removing the viruses and worms within seconds! I have fraud alert on my credit card and immediately received a call from my credit card company. They said the charge was from a company in Russia!! The credit card was charged showing a company name of CREATIVITY-SOFT.com. I went to their web-site and found a phone number. When you call the number, nothing happens. Obviously a bogus phone # too. They have contact through e-mail set up but I was afraid that would send them right back into my computer again. I believe this site to be bogus. They say they are selling software.

I have since ound out by googling "security tool" that it is a known virus that is supposed to be difficult to remove from your computer.

Please be aware of this scam!
