Unlike many of the other entries here I do not have an account with this company. I had never even heard of this company...until about 2 months ago when the calls started coming. On average I would get about 3 calls a day, every day, with no care to what time it is here in Alaska. My husband is in the military so it's not like we can turn our phone off or ignore the unknown name and number calls.

My Dad had apparently used my number as a message contact on his application to this company. He had lost his job and was behind in payments by $1100. He was never contacted by the company. Now he is down to being only $50 behind and I get calls constantly. I have told the callers that I will be happy to give my Dad a message but they need to cease the amount of phone calls they are giving me. On top of the phone calls they are sending me at home they are also calling my Dad at work and actually talking to him.

This morning was the last straw. Sunday mornings are our families only day to sleep in. The call came in at 7:59am and woke both my husband and myself. When I answered the phone the caller asked for my Dad and when I told her yet again that I did not want them calling my home any longer she replied with, "We aren't going to stop. We are going to call every day and there isn't anything you can do about it." I asked for her name and she refused several times. I finally got sick of the go around and hung up on the woman.

I called CAC and let the woman know that I no longer wanted them calling my home and she assured me that she would take my number off the call list. I don't believe this and can only hope the calls stop. If they do not stop I will be calling the Judge Advocate and seek pressing Federal Charges of Phone Harrasment. This company seems to be filled with insane individuals and should be thouroughly investigated.

THE LAW

#2Consumer Comment

Mon, January 31, 2005

After working in Collections for a while, I know the rights of the consumer. If you do not want to be bothered with any creditor whether the debt is yours or not, you should send them a letter in writing stating no more phone calls at work or at home. Once this is done, if they continue you can file a lawsuit against them for breaking the consumer law.
