Complaint Review: Credit Acceptance Corporation

Credit Acceptance Corporation I have had a car loan with them for over a year and in the past their customer service was pleasant and personable. However, today it is not. Customer service was exceptionally rude and accusative. Southfield, Michigan

I have had a car loan with Credit Acceptance for over a year.  I have not had a problem with customer service and making payment arrangement in the past.  However, today customer service was rude and accusatory.  The customer service representative refused my request to speak to her supervisor.  They have set precedence with accepting late payments from me and today was no different.  I have not had a payment that has been more than 10 days late.  On their payment booklet it states a 10 day grace period.  Today they demanded the payment and tried to convince me to do a bank draft.  I believe that companies who insist their customers arrange bank drafts are setting their customers up for failure and to be more behind on payments in order to repossess the car at their convenience. I am not happy with Credit Acceptance any more. One would think that a company would think of the consequences of turning one customer against it.  By losing me as a happy customer, I will not recommend Credit Acceptance to any of my friends and family.  By losing me as a customer they have lost potential business of my immediate family which numbers 12 and the rest of my extended family which numbers more than 300.
