Complaint Review: Credit-Aid aka Credit Aid Visa aka Consumer Credit Solutions

I recieved a phone call on 11/27/02 stating that a credit card I applied for on line awhile ago had now been approved. I was told I qualified for a visa card with a $3500 credit limit. I was also told that the card had an 8% fixed intrest rate. The women (called herself Anna Ashley), stated that I had to pay a $299 processing fee but that the fee would be returned as a $200 credit making the processing fee $99.

I was told that I would recieve the card in 21 days, I have not yet recieved it. I was also told that this offer also included a "Consumer Crdit Solutions" gold card with a %7500 limit. The $299 was taken from my checking account and thus far all I recieved was the Consumer Credit Solutions card with their useless cataloge. I also recieved a letter with the cataloge stating that if I placed 3 orders of $99 or more and paid off each order within 3 months, I would then be eligable for a major credit card.

This was not what I was told on the phone! I have not yet been able to contact anyone related to this scam. I have the following contact numbers: 866-433-3055 (always an answering machine) and 888-888-1223 (a disconected number). The address I put on this report is the address that came with the useless cataloge, it's the only address I have.
