Complaint Review: Credit Collection Services

I had an auto insurance policy with Farmers Insurance. I cancelled it after the initial period because they were two high priced for what they offered. The same day I cancelled, I took out a new policy with another company. Several weeks later I was contacted by Linda Frankiln (Farmers); telling me that my policy premium was late. I told her that I had cancelled it and gave her the date. She told me I would need to send the declaration page from the new company and that I may still owe a partial payment. I never heard another word until I received a letter from Credit Colection Services of Newton, MA with a bill for $434.06 payable in full on account that they had reviewed and found to be valid..... what a crock.... what a scam! I have paid them but my credit is screwed up because of it.
