Credit Collection Services Scam for collection for insurance company Newton Massachusetts
I got this bill from Credit Collection Service(hereinafter "CCS") asking me to pay $15 that owe to Travelers Insurance. When I called CCS they are not listening to any of my issue. I told them I have never received any bills from Travelers of $15. There was no reason given. I asked for my documents to be sent, operator said I cannot dispute this claim and it is due.
I just do not understand, how come there is a claim that is against me, with no option to dispute.
My insurance policy was for 1 Year which I had paid in full. I did not want to renew my policy with travelers as they were overcharging me so I changed my policy with State Farms. I never received any bills from Travelers regarding over due payment. So if I do not continue my policy with them, how come I own them money.
Now, when I explained this to the operator she kept giving me an insane reply. "If you did not have an overlapping policy before your end date with Travelers you need to pay $15." What in the hell does this statement even mean. I do not have an overlapping policy because I do not like to pay for 2 insurance policy. I have one insurance policy with Travelers that I paid in full and never modified my contract. And the day it expired, I had a new policy from the next day.
The operator hung up on me twice. But never explained to me why should I pay for 2 policy at one time when I have paid the entire policy in full.
Hope some law firm take up a class action suit against this fraud CCS. They are trying to get small amounts from people so they will just give it away out of fear of getting a bad credit score and never complain. This definitely feels like a scam.

you have the right to validation of debt under the Fair Debt collection Act. I would ignore their phone calls and cut right to ending the problem. File complaints
with the attorney General office of your state. Missouri I am sure has a consumer protection division. the better business bureau is worthless. Also file a complaint with the federal trade commission. Now they don't act on individual complaints. However, they do on many complaints. I am not an attorney!!!
