Credit Education Group ripoff "cancelled" it as we were talking they took the money out of my account anyway nationwide
Half asleep, I received a phone call from Credit Educaion Group. Since my credit is in the toilet, this was a deal I could not refuse.
I asked all the proper questions, name address of company, name of person I was talking to, phone number if I had any questions, they had all the right answers! When I finally "woke up", I started asking myself, "what did I just do?".
The next day I called 186 631-0695 and talked to "the manager" who said his name was Keith Matthew. I asked more questions and said I wanted to cancel this transaction and asked for a confermation number, he said none was needed, that he had cancelled it as we were talking.
OK, they took the money out of my account anyway!! I went to the bank, filled out a report and am waiting to hear from my bank. Hopefully I will see the 299.00 put back in my account soon. If not these scam artists just received 300 bucks, creaps. It sounds as though, from other victim reports, that this scam has been going on for quite a while. How can these thieves be stopped?
