This company calling themselves the Credit Education Group called me on my cell phone saying they would give me a credit card with a $5,000 spending limit. Isabella (as she called herself) said the fee was $300.00. As I have no past credit history and am looking to buy a house I had been inquiring about a credit card from different companies.

The general consensus was I would have to pay some sort of fee to receive a credit card. So what Isabella said wasn't that hard to believe. Hind sight 20/20 of course, I gave her my checking account number and a specific check number. After thinking about it I decided it wasn't a good idea. I could not reach the company or "Isabella" by any of the numbers she gave me.

They were either always busy or not a working number. So I called the bank and stopped payment on my check. On 4/11/03 $300.00 was deducted from my checking account. I have not received a letter, a card, nothing. My attempts at contacting them are still unsuccessful. This is an unbelievably huge ripoff. How can I get my money back?
