Credit Expert operate under poor business tatics and are in no way customer service driven. When I signed up for Credit Expert I was to receive a password to access the account/credit information. I never received the password thus never was able to gain access to account/credit information through Experian. My credit card was drafted for the $79.95 membership fee (by which I never had access to). I called their office on October 22, 2003 to request a refund and was told that it would take approximately 7-10 business days to receive it. I waited 10 business days and called their office on Nov. 5, 2003 to find out why I had not received the refund.

Their representatives Loi & Webster(supposedly a supervisor of Loi) informed me that the account was not closed out and that it would take another 7-10 business days before I would get the refund. Webster assured me that I would get my refund in 7-10 business days.

Today is November 24, fourteen business days later and I have yet to receive my refund. I have called their office several times to inquire about the refund and they keep telling me to wait, wait, wait, that it is being processed.

I spoke with Sandy corporate ID# 60164 and she did not have a answer as to why my refund had not been submitted. Their representives will not let me speak to a Consumer Relations Manager to try and get answers. If you are reading this or considering using Credit Expert, DON'T. They are scam artist!

I have been a victim of the "Credit Expert" and frankly found it was a waste of time.

#2Consumer Suggestion

I never got my Password either and never made contact to my online account. Thinking it must not have went into affect, HUGE MISTAKE, I didn't think any more about it until a year later when they tried to renew and charged my account $79.95 again.

When I called and explain telling them I didn't want this, never wanted it and don't have an account they told me I had one and that I should have been receiving email updates as to inquires to my account they tell you they send out to your email.

I never got those at all. When telling this to them they could see that I had never accessed my account, but told me since it had been a year already they couldn't refund me that year, but they would definitely refund this recent charge made to my check card.

I asked them who authorized them to charge another year of services to my check card. They told me when having an open account if I don't close it they continue to bill be every year. Even though I told them this was not on their website and so forth and after the female representative admitted it was hard to find and see and lots of people miss it, that it was in the smaller print.

Personal and Professionally I feel NO one business or otherwise should be able to do this year after year after year. They should have to resolicit you to rejoin, period!!!! No more to say about it. I feel this is where the laws should be changed to keep these sharks from devouring our accounts and having such easy access to our credit and checking accounts. No one should be able to charge that way. They should only be able to sign you up for one year and one year only.

The first time I called to get my refund before resolving the issue stated above, I got a representative from HELL and Honestly she was so rude to me and would not allow me to speak to a Supervisor and hung up on me even though I was being calm but repetative in asking to speak to a supervisor as well as adamant about seeking further support from a supervisor. Once that occurred I called back and got a supervisor and found that this person was working her last days there because of exactly how she treated me. She was doing this to many people. The supervisor that spoke to me was very nice and understanding as well as apologetic.

I believe their unfair business practices can drive people to being this way as well. I am not saying this person is all about that who treated me rudely, but I am saying all in all that having to deal with things that are not quite clear in statements on that business website and underhanded dealings that it can make ones job very frustrating and dealing with many people who have this problem that the frustration you feel with the company has no where to go but out to the public and therefore you find yourself in this situation either getting fired, asked to leave or quiting.

Like you I had to wait a very long time to receive my refund. After the 7 to 10 day wait I recontacted them just as you did to have them give me my refund in a timely manner. I received it about a total of 15 days later counting the 7 to 10 ie Working Days!!!

I don't feel in this day and tiem that companies should even be able to put anything like reoccurring charges in any of their buiness practices at all being that there are so many rip-offs, fraudulant acts, especially ID THEFT as
there are and should be another way that the FTC, Consumer Credit Agencies should back the rights for the Consumers so they will not have these kinds of dealings. If there are some people that wish for companies to have these kinds of accounts where you are charged year after year after year, then first they should have a place to sign up for that and check off. Secondly, they should spell out in detail, bold lettering also about the 30 days FREE TRIAL and what they charge after that Trial Period and also be made to send you an email asking if you wish to continue the year subscription fo services giving you the opportunity to choose yes or no. Some websites you have to be very careful over, they will have a check mark already in certain things, subscription and so forth where you have to read and catch it, take the check mark out or you've automatically signed up for something you didn't even realize all because you didn't read further but transmitted thinking there wasn't anything else. This kind of TRICKERY & DECEPTIVE TACTICS should NOT be legal to use and if so the consumer should have full access to press charges against them, PERIOD!!!! This is totally out of hand. Just think of the many that do not report these happenings.. some not knowing about Rip-Off Report and Alert and some not wanting to take the time to report it. That is even worse and very sad because that is more non-support we would otherwise have if they would report it to make a case out of these rip-off tactics that are running ramped in our society and business practices of today.

It is my GREAT WISH and HOPE that others don't fall pray to this and make more reports and get behind this king of activity being displayed and reporting so rip-off editors can look over the situation and see if we can't make a case out of this and make some rumblings across the whay companies/business' market themselves and holding them responsible for their actions.

SAD, SAD, SAD!!!
