I was called in February and signed up for a credit card that morning. I decided to cancel early March. I called and stayed on hold for 15 minutes and then found out that there computers were down that he would cancel my account after that but to call and double check. I called again five days later and the same thing. I called Friday March 29 and I can no longer cancel at all since it is three days before they withdrawl the money from my account. I can not talk with a manager, they will not give me there name and I cannot cancel the credit card.

I sent a compaint to the Better Business Bureau in that area where others have made the same complaint.

I have also called demanding a refund, explaining to them the same issue that I had. They finally gave me the name of the CEO and said he is usually in but not right now to call back. I called back many times the next few days with no CEO in the office. I had one of the phone people hang up on me when I insisted on having some resolution to the problem. He said once I got my package I would be glad I didn't get a refund that maybe I could call back when I recieved the package and they would discuss this again.

They took the money out of my account on 4/4, it is now 5/5 and I have recieved nothing. I called them last week and the guys said that the shipments were sent out in two parts and I must have been in the second half. I was going to call again today until I read the email postings on this web site. I am thankful to see this.

I have called my bank and I have to go to sign an affidavit of fraud and I will not only recieve my money back but also get the money from the overdraft charges that I got. It has taken me a month to get my bank account in order after this. I have had five checks returned which I have never had happen before.

The bank was unable to do an immediate reversal because Credit Helper did not use a clearinghouse. There was an actual paper check that they created which makes the process more difficult.

Last, the Better Business Bureau recommended that I call:
Bergen County Consumer Affairs
Street : 21 Main Street Room 101-E
City/ST : Hackensack, NJ 07601-7000
Phone : (201) 336-6400

I hope there are others out there that will call as well. This has been very disruptive in my life.

STOP! ..before you think about using the Better Business Bureau (BBB)... CLICK HERE to see how other consumers were victimized by the BBB's false or misleading information. Don't be fooled! It has been reported, when there are thousands of complaints and other investigations underway by authorities, the BBB has no choice but to finally give an UNsatisfactory rating to a BBB member business that is paying the BBB big membership fees every year. When a business is reported that is NOT a BBB member, BBB files WILL more likely show an UNsatisfactory rating, then reportedly shake down that company to become a member of the BBB. One positive thing about the BBB is, either way, if a business has an unsatisfactory rating with the BBB, you can be sure, the business is bad. But what about all those BBB member businesses that had complaints filed against them? Consumers never get to hear about them. What about the BBB advertising to the public? Is this a false and misleading perception they are giving about consumer confidence when dealing with a business? Click here to understand more of what consumers and business alike are saying about the BBB. You decide. ..Remember. The BBB membership is not earned, its paid for!
