Okay I signed up for Credit Karma about 2 years ago and I did not catch this until now. I decided I needed to check my score from all bureaus on freecreditreport.com So I did. Now Credit Karma allows you to link your bank accounts so you can monitor them however this is what I found. I have always been current with my car payment and my 2 credit cards. Which is what those banks are reporting on Equifax and Experian. I noticed though that all 3 accounts were reported late on my transunion report. Not by the banks, but by Credit Karma!! See Credit Karma is with Transunion and when you link your accounts to Credit Karma. Apparently if you are a day late Transunion sees it and reports you late on your credit report.

These actions are illegal!! Only the banks should be reporting whether you are late or not. Not Credit Karma!! Please I urge nobody to use this service I mean for $20 for you to check your credit report on those other sites I would say that is worth totally getting screwed over by Credit Karma. Not only that, but under the Credit Reporting Act all bureaus have to share the same information. So where does this fall? It falls into not just Credit Karma performing illegal acts, but Transunion as well.

I have a Grace Period on my car Credit Karma did you know that? Banks do not report you delinquent until you are 30 days late on your bill. Not 2 days late and see that is what happened here. Credit Karma sent me an alert that I was 2 days late on a Credit Card payment. Guess what Credit Karma did? They reported me late on my Transunion credit report. This company is terrible news. Not only that, but I learned they are free by selling your private information. This is not cool!!
