Complaint Review: Gateway Spiegels Orchard Bank

In an effort, to protect my credit, I purchased "Credit Protection Insurance" on all of my cards! I became disabled, after open heart surgery, and nothing was protected! I called each company, from my hospital bed, prior to surgery, in an effort, to protect,what I had been working for...credit protection!

If, payments were made, I still incurred, late charges,over the limit fees,and the companies still reported me as a slow pay..I read every single policy, and I worked in the Insurance business for 15 years..but, it all seemed to be A-OK.

What they don't tell you, is that, "the" credit card companies contracts, with an independent insurance company, and then "you" are put in the middle!

Spiegle's refused, to send, the back statements, to the insurance company, and the insurance company, refused to pay, without them!(How many people keep these, papers for months?)

In an effort to keep my credit, fairly good, I made the minimum payments, only to be told, that I had reduced their (the insurance companies)liability..

I spent hours, talking with each company, and each assured me that, once the insurance company started paying, I would have no problem....wrong !!!

End result..what I paid for, cost me more than just $$!
