They didn't sell you a "lemon", they sold you a 10 year old car that gave you 2 months of trouble free use. You bought the car As-Is. Meaning that unless you have something in writting that says they are responsible for repairs, anything and everything that goes wrong with that car is YOUR responsibility the second you sign the paperwork.
Most of these "buy here-pay here" dealers buy late model and high mileage cars at auctions, get them working just enough to get them off the lot and then let the new owner deal with all of the repairs. So while it probably doesn't really help you, having 2 months of trouble free use before a $500 repair bill is actually very good. By this time in many cases people would have had to spend a few thousand dollars in major repairs.
Now, unfortunatly you are responsible for the repair and still responsible for the payment. They are under no obligation to "cut you a break" because you made all of your payments on time. Because that is what you are supposed to do. Now, if they do..great just don't expect it.
