Firt of all i would like to say i had my car for 2yrs never was late! the company i was dealing with sold the account to this unprofessional co. called cresent bank when they took over payment wasn't being taking out and i called to find out why that's when i learned that my account was sold
however... i got a month behind and caught up... times got hard home burned down called and told them that she laughed and said that's not my fault... so i then got behind again only a month.. now i 45days behind they have called
my job which they aren't suppose too.. i'm now working 15hrs a week live in a homeless shelter and they are tell me i better make the payment or they will pick it up from my underdstanding i thought i had to be at least 60days
behind if someone knows the answer to this question pls help me and sugguest what should i do. they even called my parents to tell them and she said husband i never been married not only are they rude they a liars as well
someone pls help me out on understanding the past due laws....

You may have gotten a false reading on the other company. You were never late, so there was no reason for them to start collection activities. I can almost guarantee that the first bank would be doing the exact same thing.
There is no law that says a creditor can not call you at work. There are laws known as the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act(FDCPA) where you can stop 3rd party Debt Collectors from calling. However, Cresent Bank is considered an Original Creditor so the FDCPA does not apply.
As for Reposessing your car there is no law that says a company has to wait a specific amount of time. Unless you have different conditions written into your loan agreement, they can technically repo the car if you are 1 day late. But most will give you between 30-90 days before they come and get the car.
