I wrote an earlier report about not getting my rebate and invited people to join me in a class action lawsuit. The Title is
I had no idea how many people out there that are getting a royal screwing by the rebate company, and I wonder how many others there are out there that haven't made it to the web site or don't know what to do except bend over and take it AGAIN. Those crooks are making a killing!
However today I finally got ahold of Chasity Hueser, a Customer Operations Manager for the Chattanooga, Nashville and whatever surronding areas. She took care of the problem and while I didn't recieve a check from the rebate company, I did get a credit to my account. Finally! Also I responded to (and then cleared out) all those folks that had contacted me requesting some guidence. This is what I wrote
Hello,

I have a name and number, Cricket Customer Ops Manager Chastity Hueser, 423-553-8007 or 865-583-4041. She will get you taken care of. I'll try to post this on the website as well, but feel free to do so also if you would like.

CLICK here to see why Rip-off Report, as a matter of policy, deleted either a phone number, link or e-mail address from this Report.

Any one outside of the area can probably call her and get a local rep's name and number. In the mean time, as it looks like Cricket is swallowing this, unless the rebate company and cricket are one in the same or one owns the other (does any one know how to research this?) let's focus on a class action suit against the rebate company.

Please feel free to (re?)contact me, we'll move forward and stick it back to 'em.

Well Jim, Apparently it's a large repeating accident? Happenstance? Something that a lot of people like myself have not recieved a rebate. Of course a smart fella' like yourself (heck you've purchased 6 Crickets!)would cut out the UPC, and indeed, probabaly even sent it in registered mail.
In the mean time, please enjoy your crayons.

While I think it is great that they took care of your problem, they didn't have to, Hollis. I read your previous report, in it you said you sent in a COPY of your UPC code. It says on the rebate form, in bold print, you must send the ORIGINAL UPC barcode from the box. While this does require the use of scissors, I bet you could have done it if you tried.

The point is; there are reasons for the rules they have. If you don't follow them, they do not have to bend the rules for you - although they often do. I have never been declined for a rebate that I submitted correctly, and I have purchased 4 phones with Cricket.

The vast majority folks out there are able to follow the instructions, and get their money quite easily.
I hope you have more luck with the paperwork on your lawsuit that you did with the rebate, don't use crayons!
