How can the State of Texas pride itself on doing things "bigger and better" when deadbeat dads make a mockery of the child support legal system?  The following deadbeat story is not unique; in fact it is more common in a state that boasts about their tough laws.

For 14 years, I have been asking the Child Support Division of the Texas Attorney General to enforce a court order that requires Cristoval Alcoser, better known as Chris, to pay child support and provide medical support for our child.  Their response?  "We try our best but because he is self-employed, la la la... So how does a deadbeat dad who makes a million dollars a year and won't pay child support, not have consequences? Here is the secret.  Regardless of the court ordered amount due, pay only $100 every 3 months to keep the Attorney General's Office off your back.  Chris will also tell you to pay cash and put everything in your wife's name because it works.  He put his truck, hummer, RV, boat, and motorcycles in her name.  He has no bank account for himself and deposits cash into her account.

Not only is this illegal, but the Texas tax payers get to pay for his son's medical premiums and expenses. Yep, as a single mother I qualified for medicade and all bills paid by the state.  Chris also knows that he will never have to reimburse the State of Texas for these expenses, although he was ordered by a Texas judge to provide such medical support.

Here is the clincher.  At age 46, Chris is illiterate and has been for his entire life.  The lesson here is that you don't have to know how to read or write to be smarter than the system.  Shame on Texas!

I would like to publicly apologize for posting a complaint against Chris Alcoser.  I have no intention of causing further embarrassment.

You can sue him in civil court for child support.  BTW is it Medicaid - not Medicade.
