Moved from Euless, TX to Virginia Beach, Virginia

I originally contracted with Greenpoint Vanlines to move my furniture from Euless, TX TO Virginia Beach for a Sunday August 1 pickup. My binding quote was for 6500 lbs. at 34 cents a pound. I received a call on August 1 stating that i would not be able to get a truck until the following day at 9 am. On Monday August 2, a truck finally came at 1 pm. I used $215 of their packing materials that was added on to my final cost. Because they were a day late, I received a $150 discount. When the company arrived to move me, I found out the Greenpoint Van Lines had subcontracted with Cross America Relocation to move my belongings. After everything was packed on the truck, the drivers gave me a price of $4300. I WAS APPALLED! They refused to take me to the weigh station. The Euless police came out and made the truck driver leave my stuff until i could speak to a supervisor in the morning. I immediately called Cross America Relocation and spoke to Teresa and then spoke to Yaakov also known as Jacob who threatened me and went off on me. he stated he was going to meet me at my house to retrieve his truck with my belongings. I called another police officer to meet me at my home in Euless, TX. After the police officer spoke with Dwight at Greenpoint Van Lines, The driver agreed to take the truck to the weigh station. The weight came out to be a little over 6500 lbs and with the $150 discount the total came out to be $2165. The driver and I signed off the final paperwork and I gave him the 60% deposit of $1300 and was assured my delivery in 7 days guaranteed. I moved to Virginia and after day 4 began calling Dwight to inquire about my delivery. He assured me it would be on the first truck going out. this continued for 5 more days.

On August 11, when I called Cross America to find out about my belongings, Eran stated that I would receive my belongings on August 20th!! In about a half an hour I received a phone call from Yaakov stating that I would have to pay a total of $3800 to receive my belongings. He gave me some bogus charges of $800 in packing materials, $500 for an extra truck (which had none of my belongings), and other bogus charges. When I called Dwight to get this situation resolved, he called back stating I would have to pay what they said and the driver made a mistake! The General Manager "Mr. Levi" got on the phone and stated that he would release my furniture but I would have to pick it up in Houston... My attorney has done some research and this company has no license in TXDOT AND no insurance. THEY ARE SCAM ARTISTS! Now I know that Greenpoint Vanlines and Cross America work together. They are the same company. Greenpoint Vanlines address does not exist- it's fake. Now I am in Virginia Beach and i have to get all my belongings for me and my children -10 days later- in Houston Texas because I can not afford their scam!! They also broke my window while in the process of moving my things.

I am going full force unless I receive an apology and on-time delivery. My attorney is working on it right now. I have all their information including insurance info!! Anyone want a class action!!
