I opened an account with Cross Country Bank when I finished college because I hadn't established credit. After being a customer for a year, my home was burglarized and my card was stolen and maxed out. I was told not to worry about this and that Cross Country Bank would take care of it.

Not only did Cross Country Bank fail to cooperate with my local police department to help apprehend the criminal, but they charged the criminal's charges off to bad debt. By the time this happened, I no longer even used that card as I had established credit with other institions and had a perfect credit history. Because of their fraudulent reporting, my credit rating fell from a 740 to a 585. This was the only blemish on my report.

They have been promising to fix this error for over a year bu, to date, it remains unfixed. I have made countless toll calls to the company, been hung up on by supervisors, treated rudely by employess, sent unanswered letters to headquarters and been denied for other loans.

Cross Country Bank is unethical and practices business irresponsibly and without regard for the well being of its clientele.
